These photos (the photography, styling, and modeling) are fantastic. I love the locations you used. I can't decide which one I like more because they're all so great.

camille said...

this is fantastic! the styling is perfection. great photography as well. :)

ooooh... that forever 21 necklace, you've sold me on it! i've been staring at online for quite sometime, not really sure, but now that i see it in this light... blogs are dangerous for the wallet.

i really love the direction of this post. it all works extremely well. i really didn't know what to think of the subkoff collaboration. i had seen a pic of chloe sevigny in the red one and was indifferent, but you make the tara subkoff for bebe dress come alive.

Fenke said...

it is really a great editoriel - the locations are indeed very cool.

your own photoshoot?! great idea, love it! (: especially loving the high waisted shorts with black bow-tie look!

dreamecho said...

yulanda: That means a lot, espesh the part about the photography, seeing as how much I admire your photog skills!

camille: Thanks for the wonderful words :)

rz: Ah, I've been wondering where you've been! Oops, I meant the necklace was from Twelve by Twelve, but clearly you knew what I meant. I'm going to have to change that... The rest of the Subkoff collab was ho-hum, but there was something about those ruffle dresses that just caught my eye. Anyway, thanks for the comment!

Fenke: Thanks :)

Stephie! Yes, my very own photoshoot. :) Glad you like!

This is amazing! You're the star, stylist and photographer of your own editorial. You have a lot of talent Miss :)

Wow I’m awfully impressed by this post, you look so great and your styling is spot on. Did you just take your tripod out and go for it or was someone behind the cameras?

Wow! I would have thought it was from a magazine if it hadn't said "dreamecho" on it... great styling, posing, and photography!

OMG you are fantastic in these clothes. I can't decide which fabulous pic/look I like best. But this has cinched it. I must get Cheap Monday jeans. All my fave stylistas are wearing them and I want in on the action. Thanks for a great post. K xo

This is impossibly awesome! The clothes/poses/pictures are fantastic, and you even look like a model - how tall are you?

aziza said...

I love it so much! I think the outfit with the shorts is my favorite one.

Beautiful! I love your style.

lc said...

is this what you've been practicing all your poses for? super job, espesh with the lighting! i love the choice of the burbs, with the chainlink fences and the siding. it makes your outfits look (even more) out of the ordinary.

Wow, thanks for all the feedback people!

Fashion DiscipleXXX: Thanks! But, gurl, didn't you read the first page? Credits are there... (Yes, I walked around the neighborhood with a tripod...!)

Fashion Tidbits: If you mean did I use a timer, yes!

up and down town: Love your way with words words words.

K.Line: You should definitely try Cheap Mondays...I put trying them for a year or two and boy was I missing out! Send me an email if you need tips on sizing.

Stephanie: Impossible? :) I'm neither tall nor short...average by American standards....

lc: That's one way to put it. Or, perhaps it's ALL practice, no? But let me tell you one thing...dancing SURE DOES HELP. Take that as you will. Oh, and good. I was going for the juxtaposition. Kind of a "What ever am I doing in suburbia?" or "Oh, how it pains me to be in suburbia." Yuk, yuk.

the fashion assistant: YSL?! Thanks!

The 1st dress is a stunner. Also cool blazer. And great job with the tube top as skirt.
Really cool styling.

You need to be a model, magazine editor, fashion coordinator, and a star..all in one. haha

i'd love to trade. :O)

Did you make the bow-tie yourself? tell me how!

Sales Rack Raider said...

Everything about the shoot is perfect--the location, the clarity, the styling, and your innate ability to look good! You are one heck of a model.

On a different note, I really covet those highwaisted shorts of yours. And that tube top worn as high-waisted skirt? Fabulous.

evie said...

there's no doubt that i've always loved your outfits from the first time you started posting. but this post? from the styling to the photography and of course the modeling? just one word: wow!

oh my GOD! i'm smiling and gawking and completely in heart! you look absolutely fantastic but your photography skills in addition to the STYLING (if you moved to hollywood you'd have no problems getting work) is awe-inspiring. truly. so, so lovely. bravo!

the_kitten said...

Nice! Did you make them with self-timer? I always feel reluctant about it outside of my apartment, because I am afraid of being watched by passersby. But if it is likely to get as beautiful results as yours, maybe I will give it a shot.

Anika said...

This is fantastic and looks quite professional! You have amazing style.

Look at you, you model! Looking amazing. I love the feel of the 50s-70s sexed up with a little leg.
Oh! And I got an email that totally made me think of you! Check out this site: laurakranitz.com. Looks like your trend is really catching fire :)

Different elements from uniform of waitors (love this details)to gladiators and little boy's shorts are incredible together!!!!!!!!Class A!!!

love those high-waisted shorts on you!

dreamecho said...

emily: Yay!

Sales Rack Raider: Thank you so very much! I'm not sure about that "innate ability to look good," though. The only things innate about me are clumsiness and social awkwardness! *guffaw*

evie: Memory of a goldfish? I think not. Love your comment, and thanks :)

Sharon: Thank YOU! Hmmm...you might be onto something there... Anyway, email is in the works!

the_kitten: Of course! How else could I have been the photographer? You're one of the best photographers out there; you should definitely get outdoors! I'd love to see what you'd do. Don't mind the passersby...they just don't understand. ;)

Neekoh: Not model...just "model"...if you get my drift. Ah! I wasn't even thinking of 50s-70s at the time, but I am definitely seeing it now. Good catch! Thanks for the link, gurl!

I love how comfortable you are in front of the camera, it truly comes across in the beautiful shots. My favorite is the ruffled dress, and I saw a similar one at Club Monaco which I might need to purchase now!
